Ke Zaka

Ke Zaka is a platform that helps Stokvels and Burial Societies to grow. We help groups through our TV show on SABC, social media as well as events that we host.

Setting up meetings with qualified and credible financial experts from recognized companies

Organizing Year End events, travel arrangements and other activities that groups may request

Organizing group uniforms
Helping groups get better benefits from stakeholders and service providers

Growing groups through marketing and promotion opportunities on our TV, Radio and Social Media platforms

Let us help your Stokvel or Burial Society.

According to research, more than eleven million South Africans belong to over 800 000 Stokvels – a significant part of the population. And more than four million of us belong to Burial Societies. This is our culture, and with some financial information, has the potential to drive inclusive economic participation for the majority of South Africans.

Each week Ke Zaka introduces us to a new group, through its members. As part of the profile we explore the successes, gains as well as challenges the group has faced. Ke Zaka then continues to explore the groups next wish to get to the next level. This is where Ke Zaka provides assistance to the group. Depending on their goals and objectives, Ke Zaka, together with the group, agree on the required intervention through the assistance of a relevant expert and or authority – solving a problem and taking them to the next level.

Ke Zaka documents challenges faced and innovations sought in the face of obstacles and financial opportunity. These are real-life inspiring and compelling stories about groups of people who harness financial literacy to make their lives better. Although deeply rooted in South African culture, these groups respond to contemporary aspirations and opportunities. From renovating a home, to investing in the JSE, to buying a holiday house by the sea: Ke Zaka taps into our nations’ aspirational zeal.

Season 4 of Ke Zaka starts on SABC 2 on Wednesday the 5th April 2023 at 09:30 and then again at 22:00 and sees the return of Ms. Ayanda Allie to SABC 2 as the presenter. There is also the Ke Zaka feature on Lesedi FM, also starting on Lesedi FM on Wednesday the 5th April 2023 on the 12:30 to 15:00 slot. With its objective of helping Stokvels and Burial Societies, the Ke Zaka platform exists beyond television.
